To my surprise, it is not. First of all its breath-taking sunset make me suffocated, its so beautiful. I ran from beach to beach, place to place, chasing after sunset. I was so crazy about its picturesque scence. I also admire its fantastic formation of its seaside and wave. Its much different from ours. I love their tradition store food like bakso, satay and "nasi champur" the mixed rice especially the volcano lava grown red rice which is one of the best wild rice I ever tasted. Their seafood couldn't compete with Malaysian's, not the cooking but the freshness.
Most important of course its the people. They understand very well tourists are their rice bowl. Each and every visitor is treated and served like a king. They are kind, manner, friendly, unlike those Indonesians in Malaysia. Most places are safe and peaceful which make me comfortable to be there. Bali is just like a small Hindu country, no much sign of other religions. They keep their own history, carry on their own customs, having faith in their own belief, so traditional, so cultural and so artistic. Bali, a fantasy island of Indian Ocean gifted with nature and good people has become paradise to many foreigners.
A little negative comment is their entrance fee, its too many and too much. Fees collected at all places even going up mountain, there is somebody stop your vehicle half way and ask for payment. Do they really need this kind of special fee to maintain the place or is it a way to make their living?
I witnessed this wonderful scene of nature in the evening at Ku-de-ta Beach.
Wont you like to enjoy some of your days like this? No pressure, no stress, just relax and relax in the breeze and sea music! Or would you like to have your soul and body comforted in this little hut at Nusa Dua Beach ?
The 5-star hotel at Nusa Dua Beach provides rows and rows of sun-bathing chairs along the beach and all kinds of water activities.
Kuta Beach - too many activities ...surfing, swimming, massage, shopping or eating......
The local tradition chicken soup noodle is cheap and delicious .Dont miss it ! BAKSO!
The memorial plague for 200 over victims died at the terrorists explosion at Legian Street. Bali people suffered a very hard time for a long period as no tourists no income for most of them. After the bomb, many people were fear to step in the island for more than a year.
Shopping areas along Legian Street is just in front of Kuta Beach. The musical festival at Kuta Square shopping complex, celebrating Christmas .
Interesting career at Bali - Petrol oil were sold in small glasses infront of houses and modern young pretty girls were hired as live window models at Kuta Square or any big shopping center.
Status of historical heros who are highly worshipped by Bali people can be seen at many busy streets and corners of the city.
Romantic restaurant by Jimbaran Beach offers seafood dinner under candle light at the beach facing the ocean, with good service and special cooking but seafood was not fresh and price was over expensive. But we enjoyed a traditional Greek crusine at Pantarei Greek restaurant and the popular Bali Mixed rice which came with local Volcano red brown rice at Made's Warung Food shop at Jln Seminyak. Both offered wonderful food at their specialities.
The common offering which usually consists of rice, flower, incent was made at least twice a day at the door, the road, the store, the vehicle or to where they believe their Gods are.
We had a great time at this resort house which offered high quality service, remarkable beauty atmosphere, great comfort and most of all the friendliness and smiles of their working crews.
This is our home at Bali, and as usual, in front of the house, there is a God.
The artistic inner roofing mainly of wood material are quite common seen in many types of buildings and Bali people also widely make use of kind of palm tree leave as roofing material to expel off the heat from the house. Its so natural that also become lovely home and resting place for birds.

The Barong, like dragon to Chinese, is the positive symbol of Bali people, justyness which represents straight, good, luck, kind and prosperous.
Dont forget to try on their non Muslim tradition satay with this beautifully wrapped rice and its fresh coconut.
The picturesque Royal Temple of Mengwi King at Taman Ayun.
The ancient open Meditation hall for monks inside royal temple at Taman Ayun.
Almost all temples in Bali appear in black. One of the major roofing material is the inner part of a kind of palm tree. Black colour is specially for temples and ordinary normal buildings are using light brown.
The scenic sight at The royal temple of Taman Ayun.
Bali is a city of arts with lots of talented artists living around especially at Ubud village, contributing great paintings, drawings, wood carvings, batik hand-printing , puppet making kind of hand-crafts.
The Barong musical show at Batubulan Village is all about an ancient Indian legend. Though Indonesia is a Muslim Country, they keep and preserve the history and finally it becomes the culture of Bali and attraction of tourists.
Indonesian ladies never use their hands to carry weight. Their head "kongfu" can be equivalent to the "Sow Lin Shi" monks and when with weight on head in sexy tradition wearing, they become models catwalk on the streets..
This is a celebration ceremony during God Festival. Young girls musical performance and house wives carried on their heads great offerings of food including fruits, flowers and chicken etc. Every lady were wearing their beautiful tradition kebaya, they look sincere and elegant.
Great sight of water rice field and a view of Bali's rural site.
Experience a true taste of Baliness coffee, coco, ginger and lemon grass drink at Spices Plantation. I was presented with a handful of natural small chillies by the native which really burnt out our tongue bud.
The Rice Terrace at Tegallalang and active volcano and its Mount Batur lake at Kintamani.
This very Indian style decorated restaurant at Mt Kintamani offers a fantastic view of the volcano changes scence while provide quite tradition Indonesian crusine, like its delicious "pulut" dessert with quite a reasonable price.

The biggest fruits market at Candi Kunning Village.
The elephant Cave at Bedulu village was once a Buddhist cultivating centre. Hinduism and Buddhism influenced most of the Bali History.
Center was the ancient monks' meditation place inside the cave and temples at monkey forest became home for the fiece wild monkeys.
Most of the Temples at Bedugul, are located on the slope of mountains and surrounded by rain forest.
Women were making their offerings at Temple.
Scenic view of Bedugul.
The floating UlunDanu Temple at Lake Beratan which is the 2nd largest lake in Bedugul.
Majority of Bali temples were built closely to water. All Hindu Gods had wise choices on location. Black roof, golden base with blue water, white cloud, forming a scenic view for all photographers.
Tanah Lot temple is built on the rock facing Indian Ocean having its background screen turning into golden color every evening when sun begins to set and Begugul Temple on Lake Bertan proudly shows off its uncompartative beauty at all moment..
Tanah Lot -facing The Indian Ocean giving us the best nature performance.
The beautiful picture exposed right in front of you, totally unveiled at Uluwatu. Its beautiful cliff oversee the Indian Ocean is popular for its 16th century built cliff temple and the wild monkeys.
